Amid the allegations leveled of fraud on his wife Shilpa Shetty Kundra and mother-in-law Sunanda Shetty, Raj Kundra, who himself is behind the bars for almost last one month, has applied for anticipatory bail in the High Court. He has applied for it after his bail plea was postponed last Tuesday by the sessions court to August 20. The crime branch reportedly stated 19 valid reasons, due to which the honorable court decided to postpone the hearing to a later date. For the reasons, the crime branch alleged that the businessman is not cooperating in the case and that if granted bail, he is likely to commit the crime again or even flee the country. Another strong point that worked for the crime branch was the fact that the victims, in this case, are from low-income families, and if Raj Kundra is released on bail, they may not come forward with the evidence, which is quite critical in the case. In a recent development, the director of one of the firms of Raj Kundra, Abhijeet Bomble has been arrested as well. A related incident came to light at Malvani Police Station, where a 25-year-old model who claimed of being promised roles in short films and web series was compelled to perform scenes that were uncalled for. Bomble, according to the police, was designated as one of the defendants in this case.
