As the release date starts nearing, Jersey starring Shahid Kapoor, Mrunal Thakur, and Pankaj Kapur, is all over the Internet. The movie is presented by Allu Arvind and helmed by Gowtam Tinnanuri. It will be Shahid’s next outing after Kabir Singh, which was a blockbuster remake of the Telugu film, Arjun Reddy.

Jersey went on floors two years back but was delayed due to the pandemic, and the makers inadvertently had to hold it as the film was meant to be a theatrical release. Now that the theatres are open across the country, the movie is all set to release on December 31. Besides the star cast, what has already created a lot of hype for the film is its adaptation of the Telugu National Award movie by the same name.

The audience can’t wait to see the magic of Gowtam Tinnanuri spill, and besides, Shahid’s performance in Kabir Singh is still afresh in their minds. To ensure that the film gets the best release possible, the producers have tied up with Balaji Telefilms and Pen Marudhar for an all India theatrical release. Producer Aman Gill says that after a long time they are excited to release the film in theatres and they couldn’t have thought of a better partner than Ekta Kapoor and Dr Jayantilal Gada.

Ekta opines that a film like Jersey deserves to be seen in theatres, and it is exciting they will be able to bring forth the entertainer to the audience. According to Dr Gada, the content of the film is worthy to be showcased on the big screen, and they are glad to be given the opportunity to release it.
