Reliance Entertainment and T-Series have joined hands for one of the biggest collaboration that has graced the Indian film industry. This association will unearth 10 films which will be a mix of big-budget and content-rich, mid and small-budget flicks as well. Both production houses will bring an investment of approximately Rs. 1000 crore for producing films that will range through varied genres, talent, production scale, etc. Bhushan Kumar’s T-Series and Reliance Entertainment have already worked together on the music marketing of more than 100 films. Now both well recognized and credible production houses will begin a long-term relationship based on content creation. The line-up of films is under various stages of development, with the slate including Hindi remakes of Tamil thrillers, a historic biopic, romantic drama, comedy, an espionage thriller, and a film based on true events. T-Series is the largest music label in India and also a successful production house, while Reliance Entertainment is one among many media and entertainment companies that has more than 300 commercial and acclaimed movies in its portfolio. It has produced several blockbusters under its partnership with ace filmmakers like Rohit Shetty, Vikramaditya Motwane, Neeraj Pandey, Imtiaz Ali, Anurag Kashyap, Vikas Bahl, to name a few. The new slate of films under this collaboration will release over 24 to 36 months. As per Bhushan Kumar, the collaboration has happened at the right time and will only go on to strengthen the ties between the two companies. Shibashish Sarkar, Reliance Entertainment, Group CEO, says that partnership with Bhushan will mark the beginning of a great feat in the industry as they move on to offer a bouquet of path-breaking films to the audience.
