November 26 is when Salman Khan and John Abraham will clash at the box office with their projects Antim: The Final Truth and Satyameva Jayate 2, respectively. It is being said the producers of Satyameva Jayate are hosting an exclusive 25-minute preview of their film to the exhibitors across the country.
One of the exhibitors confirms that five screenings of the special preview have already taken place in Madhya Pradesh, Bihar, Uttar Pradesh, Gujarat, Kolkata, and Maharashtra. There are two more planned for the weekend in Delhi and Rajasthan. To win the confidence of the exhibitors, the team of Satyameva Jayate 2, apart from exhibiting the 25-minute preview, is also showcasing the trailer and three songs of the movie.
The idea is to project the hard-hitting moments in the film, thereby winning the exhibitors’ trust and hence becoming their first choice in showcasing it on November 26. One of the sources from the trade calls it a smart move from the producers, which shows their trust in the product. This technique, according to him, is age-old but makes sense. Although there does lie a risk of showcasing a 25-minute-long preview, that too 40 days in advance.
The move, according to him, may backfire too. The response as per the source to this move of Satyameva Jayate 2 producers has been positive as earlier Antim: The Final truth was preferred due to the presence of Salman Khan in it. There are a few who are rethinking to showcase John Abraham’s movie over Antim now.
