Ananya Panday, who was grilled at the NCB Office for four hours today, has been asked to come back again on Monday. The actress was personally questioned by Sameer Wankhede. In her statement, she said that the references to Ganja were made as a joke and nothing more. She further said that she wasn’t aware that weed is considered a drug in India.
The NCB, who has already seized her phones, is looking into the dump data. Ananya Panday’s name has come up in the WhatsApp chats where Aryan Khan has asked her to make some arrangements for weed.
All NCB wants to know is how Ananya procured the drug and what was the mode of payment. The chats date back to 2018. NCB is looking for an angle to ascertain if she helped Aryan Khan in drug consumption. It is well to be noted that only WhatsApp chats cannot qualify as a piece of evidence in court. The NCB would want a statement to corroborate the act. During the questioning, Ananya was also asked if she consumes drugs, or whether she has had them with Aryan Khan, or does she have links with any supplier. The actress has denied any wrong-doing.
