The legendary Irrfan Khan, who passed away last year due to a rare form of cancer, has been honoured by The Producers Guild of America (PGA) during their 2021 edition. Irrfan was honoured in the ceremony’s ‘In Memoriam’ segment. The awards considered as Oscar bellwether, were held virtually. However, there was a botch-up with the spelling while announcing Irrfan’s name. The actor’s name was misspelt as Irrif Khan. His was not the only name that was subject to such an error. The Minari star, Steven Yeun, who was also one of the presenters at the event, had a similar typo error with his name written as Steven Yuen. Irrfan Khan was among the 21 film personalities remembered during the event, including Hollywood’s Kirk Douglas, who died at the age of 103 last year and Black Panther star Chadwick Boseman who also passed away after battling cancer for four years.
