It has been almost a week since Shah Rukh Khan’s son Aryan Khan has been in NCB’s custody in the high profile drug case. He was arrested by the Narcotics Control Bureau after a planned raid was conducted on a cruise ship off the Mumbai coast. Yesterday, the star kid was yet again denied bail on technical grounds. The hearing took place before the Additional District Magistrate, and following the arguments in the case, the bail pleas of Aryan as well as Arbaaz Merchant and Munmun Dhamecha were rejected.

A day earlier, the court had given the prosecution time to file replies for the bail application given by all the accused. Reply called the bail applications misconceived, ill-conceived, and non-maintainable. Aryan’s bail plea brought to light that he has no prior antecedents. It said that he has an Indian passport, he will not abscond anywhere, and that there is no question of tampering. Considering all these facts, he should be granted bail. Upon hearing arguments from both sides, calling the applications not maintainable, the court rejected the bail plea of all the three accused in the case. The three have been taken to the Arthur Road Jail and will be kept under judicial custody for 14 days. After this development took place, filmmaker Karan Johar who is known to be very close to the Khan family was seen entering Shah Rukh Khan’s residence along with Senior Advocate Rustam N Mulla. Aryan is currently represented by Advocate Satish Maneshinde, who has been in the news for Rhea Chakraborty’s case last year.  Notably, over the past few days, Shah Rukh has got immense support from the film fraternity. Earlier in the week, Salman Khan too had visited the actor at his bungalow. In addition to being close friends, both Shah Rukh and Salman live in the same street.
