Real life romance between an actor and an actress more often than not have failed in reel life at the box office. Ranbir Kapoor and Katrina Kapoor who are in a relationship in real life, are once again gearing up for their next film together. Both Ranbir Kapoor and Katrina Kaif team up for Jagga Jasoos to be directed by Anurag Basu.
Ranbir and Katrina had earlier worked together in Ajab Prem Ki Ghazab Kahani and Rajneeti. Both these films were commercial successes at the box office. But those days, while Ranbir was reportedly in a relationship with Deepika Paduknone, Katrina was seeing Salman Khan. The two pairs reportedly parted ways with their respective partners down the line.
Despite the breakups, while Katrina Kaif gave a monstrous hit with ex beau Salman Khan with their film Ek Tha Tiger doing a business of near Rs.200 crores in 2012, Ranbir too had an eventful year 2013 with his Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani co-staring ex girlfriend Deepika Padukone doing extremely well at the box office and collecting nearly Rs.190 crores.
So today, both Ranbir and Katrina still maintain a cordial relationship with their respective exes and churning out hit films co-starring them. However, it waits to be seen how their film ‘Jagga Jasoos’ fares at the box office. Will their real life chemistry create the same magic on the big screen or will the real life jodi fail like many others in bringing out the same intensity on screen?
