Well we are sure that this news will have all Ajay Devgn fans excited as, almost seven years after the release of Drishyam, which was a critically acclaimed blockbuster, shooting for its sequel has begun. Apparently, Drishyam was a remake of the 2013 Malayalam flick of the same name, starring Mohanlal. The second instalment of Drishyam has commenced filming in Mumbai and is directed by Abhishek Pathak, as Nishikant Kamat, who helmed the first part, is unfortunately no more. As expected, the film will be extensively shot in Goa. Both Ajay Devgn and Shriya Saran, who plays his wife, Nandini, in the film, took to their social media to announce the start of the schedule. They put up a photo where Abhishek Pathak can be seen giving direction. Notably, most of the original cast, including Tabu, will be retained for the sequel. Speaking in context of the movie, Ajay said that Drishyam is a legend and that he is elated to present Drishyam 2, which will be another interesting story with Abhishek Pathak putting a fresh vision into it. On the other hand, Abhishek says that helming an official remake of a big and successful franchise like Drishyam happens to be an honour and he is up for the challenge. The shooting of the sequel begins almost a year after the Malayalam version of the second part hit Amazon Prime Video.
