In a move that may have surprised many, Kapil Sharma has teamed up with Nandita Das, an actor, writer, and director, in a never-before-seen role. He will be seen donning the character of a food delivery rider and will be joined by Shahana Goswami, who plays his wife. The shooting will begin later this month in Bhubaneswar. As per Nandita Das, she had not seen Kapil Sharma’s show, but one day his pic just popped up on her mobile screen. She could see him wholly representing the common man, and that’s when he was approached to come on board. Nandita adds that she is sure Kapil is going to surprise everyone, including himself, due to his natural candour. Kapil Sharma says that he is excited about this project more so because it is being led by Nandita Das, as she has a distinct way of looking at things and has an eye for detail. According to him, both Nandita Das and Sameer Nair, Applause Entertainment’s CEO, who is the producer, are very passionate and adept at what they come up with, and this is what makes him raring to go for this project. Sameer Nair, from Applause, confirming this development, said that everyone is mighty excited to see Kapil Sharma and Shahana Goswami team up under Nandita Das’ able direction.
