Ajay Devgn will begin shooting for his digital debut Rudra- The Edge of Darkness in July. It is the official remake of the British show Luther. Ajay, who will be seen in a very intense role, shall finish this limited series within two months. The actor has been paid a sum of Rs. 125 crores for Rudra, which will be aired on Hotstar. Ajay shares a special rapport with the Star Network, and his next movie Bhuj will also be premiering on its OTT platform. Besides this, he has inked a satellite rights deal with Star, which has been active for the last five years. As per a source, when the network approached him for a Digital project, the actor said an instant yes to it. With this, Ajay joins the likes of Akshay Kumar and Hrithik Roshan, who have followed the strategy of charging a whopping sum for their transition from a big to a small screen. The Rs. 125 crores deal includes all the cross-promotional activities like promo shoots. social media posts and appearances on reality TV shows. Rudra will be directed by Rajesh Mapuskar and will premiere by 2021 end.
