More than a decade ago, Wake Up Sid was released, and since then, the bond between Director Ayan Mukerji and Ranbir Kapoor has become stronger with each association. We still remember Wake Up Sid for the way it was handled and told to the audience by the then debut director Ayan. Four years after their first association, both Ranbir and Ayan returned with Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani to spell their magic, and needless to say, it emerged as a Pan-India blockbuster. Years later, he began work on Brahmastra with Ranbir again on board, but this time around, the cast has become even bigger with Amitabh Bachchan, Nagarjuna, Alia Bhatt, Mouni Roy, and Dimple Kapadia in key roles. Adding more spice to the star-studded lineup is Shah Rukh Khan, who will be seen in a cameo. Brahmastra, as we are aware, is a VFX-heavy film and is now slowly taking shape. As per the CBFC website, there are three producers listed for Brahmastra, namely Dharma Productions, Fox Star Studios, and Starlight Pictures. The mention of Starlight Pictures comes as a surprise because it wasn’t a part of the movie before. Now it has been confirmed that Starlight is co-owned by none other than Ayan Mukerji. Ayan is not just a writer or director now but has turned into a producer too. The production house has just been registered on February 1, 2021, and has Ayan as Managing Director, his father Deb Mukerji, cousin Sreeti Mukerji, and Niharika Bijli from the PVR family as the rest of the directors.
