The Mumbai Police has intensified its probe against one politician and model in an extortion case that dates back to June this year. As per strong evidence submitted by T-Series, one politician named Mallikarjun Pujari, claiming to be a leader of NCP from Thane, had reportedly made calls to the Directors and MD of T-Series demanding extortion money and had threatened that if the amount isn’t paid to him, a girl shall file a case of harassment against the MD, Bhushan Kumar. Thereafter the T-Series filed a complaint against the politician and the model at the Amboli police station. The threats even continued and that’s when T-Series even went to the senior leadership of the NCP to intervene in the matter as Pujari had claimed that he was from their party. Krishan Kumar, one of the directors of the Music giant, met Mallikarjun in a hotel where the politician again threatened him to be ready for dire consequences if the money wasn’t paid. Apparently, during the meeting, he had shown some WhatsApp chats of Bhushan Kumar, but neither the number was his nor of anyone from the T-Series’ team. Subsequently, based on the audio recordings of Mallikarjun Pujari that demanded extortion money and also threatened Bhushan Kumar, a case was registered against the politician along with the model under various sections. A spokesperson from T-Series said that this was a clear case of misuse of the law to extort money from respectable people and businessmen and that the music company is cooperating in the investigation, and they strongly believe that the truth will prevail.
