Friends: The Reunion premiered across the globe on May 27 and as expected, is still at the top of the trending list. While the entire world drooled over the six characters, their relationship, and unheard stories, one country was busy running censor scissors over the show before it could air on various platforms. The Chinese authorities cut out the parts that had cameos from Justin Bieber, Lady Gaga, and BTS, who had inadvertently or knowingly brushed shoulders with the Chinese Government in the past.As reported, it could be Lady Gaga meeting Dalai Lama back in time, which had left the country furious be a reason for her portions cut out. Similarly, Justin Bieber, who had once posted a picture of the Yasukuni Shrine, Tokyo, which honors Japan’s war dead, did not go down well with the Chinese authorities. As for the Korean pop band BTS, they have never been on good terms with China Government due to their failure of mentioning China’s Korean war sacrifices. The three were seen in various stints during the reunion with Justin Bieber appearing dressed as Sputnik, BTS recollecting watching the show and learning a lot, and Lady Gaga singing the iconic Smelly Cat, along with Lisa Kudrow.
