It was another feather in the cap for the digital space as not so long ago, it was reported that superstar Hrithik Roshan shall make his OTT debut with the Hindi adaptation of The Night Manager, a 2016 British mini-series. The series was supposed to be produced by Preity Zinta, stream on Disney-Hotstar and as expected Hrithik was reportedly being paid a huge sum of around 75 crores for his first exclusive OTT appearance. Despite everything hitting the mark, reports coming in sound pretty gloomy as Hrithik has backed out of the project. There is no official confirmation that supports this development, but it is said that the actor was uncomfortable with the long schedules of the shoot and had date issues as well. Hrithik for long has been wanting to get into the digital arena and Disney-Hotstar’s adaptation of The Night Manager where he was going to play the Indian version of Jonathan Pine’s character would have given him that global-audience. The web series was set to go on floors from March, but now that this development has happened, the shoot stands cancelled, which by the way has left the crew fuming.
