Johnny Depp has gone on record recently to talk about the disastrous effect the ongoing patch has had on his career. Pirates of The Caribbean actor has indeed had a tough time over the past year due to his legal battle with former wife Amber Heard, and thereafter, a libel war with a British tabloid. For the unversed, Johnny married Heard in 2015, and the couple headed for a divorce a year after that, as the latter accused Depp of domestic violence, which was later settled in the court. However, Amber Heard breached the agreement to talk ill about Depp, who later sued her for defaming him and asked for a settlement amount of $50 million. A British tabloid too called the actor a wife-beater, which did not go down well with him, and he slapped a libel case on them. However, the actor lost the trial. And this wasn’t it. Hollywood too started distancing itself from him as he was asked to leave Fantastic Beasts. Johnny, who has opened for the first time after the rough patch has said that the boycott has affected his career and films. The legal spats that he is into have also started to affect his latest film, Minamata. But Depp says that despite all the negativities surrounding him, he is moving towards his goals.
