Kangana Ranaut in Manikarnika

Kangana Ranaut is all set to be seen in yet another gripping role – this time of ‘Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi’ as she gives it all to play the warrior princess.
The film is set to release on January 25, 2019 and is special for more reasons than one. From suffering a very serious injury by a sword to learning the nuances of the much-revered Rani Laxmibai, Kangana has made the film worth waiting for. Kangana Ranaut got grievously injured in a fighting scene with co-star Nihar Pandya when his sword gashed deep through her forehead which landed the actress in the hospital with around 15 stitches.
The brave actress went on to flaunt it with pride and decided to complete the film with the cut mark on her forehead as a symbol of a natural war injury. Interestingly, Kangana was very excited to have received a natural Peshwa teeka the queen used to wear in her days.
Nick Powell, action director also shared the same facts regarding the commitments and perfection Kangana wanted to achieve, she has performed some of the best stunts in the film by international standards.

She has been doing all the action stunts by herself and with complete dedication. Kangana apparently practised sword fighting for eight hours a day, and convincingly pulled off each stunt. The action director Nick Powell also added that he has worked with actors like Russell Crowe, Tom Cruise and Brad Pitt but Kangana reportedly gave him an unique experience where an actress was leading the pack. He also stated that there were times when she pulled off smoother stunts than Tom Cruise.
