Pinkathon, one of India’s biggest women’s run took off in Pune early this morning.
With thousands taking to the streets in a spectacular show of solidarity and creating awareness of women’s healthcare and especially breast cancer in women, the enthusiastic crowd was a wonderful sight to behold.
Heartthrob actor Milind Soman who is in his 50s and Reema Sanghavi founded Pinkathon with the objective of spreading awareness about women’s health related issues, breast cancer in particular.
Through the Pinkathon the organisers encourage women to adopt health and fitness in their daily lifestyles by means of running.
Held in 8 cities, Pune is the 7th city followed by Mumbai which will hold the last leg of the awareness drive.
