Ace director, Anubhav Sinha, who is currently engrossed in the post-production of Anek, which stars Ayushmann Khurrana, has planned for his next project too, which will be a socio-political drama called Bheed. The project will be headlined by Rajkummar Rao and will also mark the reunion between Abhinav Sinha and Bhushan Kumar after Thappad. Both have had successful collaborations in the past and have in a way, found the perfect recipe that helps to make a project appealing. Speaking about the film, Sinha says that Bheed is that kind of a project where the whole team jumps the moment it is being proposed.
He adds that casting was crucial for him, and Rajkummar Rao is the one actor who can be successfully transparent in a story. Sinha goes on to say that he has always had a keen desire to work with Raj and he is so looking forward to it through this project. Talking about Bhushan Kumar, the director says that he always feels honored to be working with a solid collaborator like Bhushan, who always stands like a strong pillar. Bhushan, on the occasion, shared that he and Anubhav have had a long-standing relationship starting from Tum Bin and that every project with him has been very exciting. The producer says that Thappad is a film he is incredibly proud of, and with Bheed, he cannot wait to see the project kick off. Rajkummar Rao, on being the lead of the film, feels thrilled to be working with Anubhav Sinha and says that it is a great honor and privilege for him to collaborate with the filmmaker. Rao also adds that working with Bhushan Kumar is like getting back on the home turf.
