Samantha Akkineni, who plays one of the most crucial characters in the second season of The Family Man 2, will don the role of a suicide bomber who belongs to a terrorist organization. It will be interesting to see how the on-screen cat and mouse chase between Akkineni and Manoj Bajpayee pans out.
On asking about her character, whether it was inspired by any real-life outfit, Samantha confirms that it is just a fictional terrorist group that is created to avoid any controversy. Samantha Akkineni is one of the most accomplished actresses in Telugu and Tamil cinema, and in a career spanning 11 years, this is the first time she will be seen in a web series which also happens to be her first Hindi project.
A well-informed source has further confirmed that the second season will release on June 4, and officially the confirmation on the same will come through a trailer releasing on May 19. The Family Man 2 was initially planned for a release in February this year, but Amazon’s two important shows, Mirzapur and Tandav had come under the scanner for religiously hurting people’s sentiments, and thus it was in the best interest to postpone it.
