If you are missing that high-octane wholesome entertainment, there’s some good news coming. Universal Pictures has announced the release of one of the biggest, powerful and globally-loved franchise films, Fast & Furious 9. And this one isn’t just for the OTT, but will be seen in a cinema near you. It will be the first big-budget action spectacle which will be released this year in theatres. The movie’s release date is scheduled as of August 5, and in addition to English will come out in multiple languages, including Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, and Kannada. The fan base across the world has of Fast and Furious franchise has been waiting patiently since the pandemic delayed it by more than a year. F9 is directed by Justin Lin, who has also co-written the screenplay for it along with Daniel Casey. It will be a sequel to the Fate of The Furious, which was released in 2017. John Cena will add up to the existing star-studded cast in this edition, which will be the ninth main installment and a tenth full-length feature to release in the F&F franchise.
