We recently had shared the information about Bob Biswas starring Abhishek Bachchan and Chitrangada Singh in lead roles. It is now confirmed that the film will release on December 3 on India’s homework OTT entertainment space, ZEE5.
The story is a crime thriller set against the backdrop of a love story that showcases the dual life led by Abhishek Bachchan’s character Bob Biswas, a contract killer. The film was shot entirely in Kolkata and is helmed by Diya Annapurna Ghosh. Speaking about the movie, the debutant director says that she has had the most fantastic experience creating Bob Biswas.
The director added that she is blessed to have worked with fabulous actors like Abhishek and Chitrangada as well as others who have given it all to the movie. Sujoy Ghosh, who is one of the producers of the film opined, what the audience is going to see is a new Bob Biswas. The movie is all about the world of Bob, who is trying to cope with each role that gets unfolded in front of him.
He further says that with Abhishek, the character and film have become even cooler. Gaurav Verma, one of the producers and COO of Red Chillies, adds that Bob Biswas is a unique film, a character spin-off which the production house hasn’t ventured into before. Praising Diya, Gaurav says that it was exciting to work with her as she has transformed into a director who shows a lot of promise that too in her first film.
