In the actresses’s list , Priyanka Chopra topped the list with 44 lakh followers, her closet rival is Deepika Padukone with 40 lakh followers and steadily rising. Musically, A. R. Rahman has been hitting new notes each day as his twitter followers swelled to a mammoth 28 lakh followers. The usual suspect Shreya Ghosal topped the singers’ list with 24 lakh followers while producer/director Karan Johar is the leading filmmaker with 24 lakh followers.

Actresses Shilpa Shetty and Madhuri Dixit now much married and super moms continued to hold their fort where their fans are concerned with 20 and 19 lakh followers respectively.

Actor Anupam Kher whose tweets are more of philosophy and truths of life and less of Bollywood too has a steady fan following with nearly 17 lakh twitter followers.

Yester year legendary singers and sisters Lata Mangeshkar and Asha Bhosle too has embraced the world of social media with a pinch of salt and has nearly 22 lakh followers between them.

Surprisingly, noted film critic and number one on Bollywood celebrities’ hate list Kamaal R. Khan too has seen his twitter followers increasing and as of date, his twitter followers stood at 1,43,561.

Surprising leading actresses Kareena Kapoor and Katrina Kaif keep a low profile on the social media.
