Kangana has been in the thick of things lately for not only when it comes to her movies but also the legal fights she has been involved in. In yet another case filed against her by Lyricist Javed Akhtar, she has moved to Dindoshi Sessions Court in Mumbai to quash the bailable warrant issued by the Andheri Metropolitan Magistrate Court. The plea concerning this will now be heard on March 15. The veteran lyricist had filed a complaint against Kangana following an interview given by her to Republic TV where according to him his name was unnecessarily dragged into the unfortunate death of Sushant Singh Rajput. In an interview that lasted for 57 minutes, Akhtar claims that Ranaut is seen giving her opinion surrounding Rajput’s death without any personal knowledge and while doing so made defamatory comments against him. On February 1, RR Khan, Andheri Metropolitan Magistrate had issued summons to Kangana Ranaut to appear before the court on March 1 concerning this matter, however, Akhtar’s lawyers allege that despite being in Mumbai, she did not pay heed to the matter. Kangana’s lawyers on the other hand claim that the mandatory compliance of Section 200 has not been followed in the matter and the four witnesses who shave been named in Javed Akhtar’s complaint have not been examined on oath.
