First Footage of Mission: Impossible 7 & Top Gun: Maverick Screened

The CinemaCon attendees had a glimpse of Paramount Pictures’ Mission: Impossible 7 and Tog Gun: Maverick’s action-packed footage in an event in Las Vegas. Tom Cruise, however, did not appear in person for the show but was present on-screen for the Paramount presentation. He appeared in the behind-the-scenes clip where he specifically spoke about the motorbike stunt in which he had to jump off a cliff in Norway. As far as the Top Gun sequel is concerned, the actor will be playing the role of Pete Maverick Mitchell, who will now be training Top Gun graduates for a special mission. The film will also have Val Kilmer play the role of Maverick’s rival, Iceman, again. It is well to be noted that at the beginning of the pandemic, Mission: Impossible 7 discontinued its production due to the rising cases in Italy. The shoot resumed in September last year only to be stalled again as few crew members tested positive for the Coronavirus. In December 2020, a clip had gone viral where an agitated Tom Cruise was seen shouting at a crew member who was found flouting Covid protocols. Both these highly awaited Tom Cruise flicks got delayed due to the pandemic. While MI 7 will release on May 27, 2022, Top Gun: Maverick is all set to enthrall everyone in the theatres on November 19 this year.
