Rakul Preet Singh has many projects lined up in the months to come. She has already signed MayDay, Thank God, Chhatriwali, and Doctor G. If reports are to be believed, she has now been signed by Jackky Bhagnani for his next production opposite Akshay Kumar. As per the source, Jackky had taken three scripts to Akshay, out of which the actor liked two. One was Mudassar Aziz’s film which Rajkummar Rao may be doing now, and the other movie is a project on which the Bell Bottom director Ranjit Tiwari is working-on. Akshay has already worked with Ranjit in Bell Bottom, and he gave his nod to the movie as soon as he heard the script. The movie is expected to go on floors this year and will have a short schedule of 35-40 days. The producers were looking out for a female lead for the film and were also considering Shraddha Kapoor and Kiara Advani for it but finally decided to go ahead with Rakul Preet. They were of an opinion that the chemistry which the actress had with Ajay Devgn in De De Pyaar De did not look awkward despite the age difference, and thus she should be a complete fit for the role. The team is currently working on the schedule and other modalities of the film.
