It’s been 21 years since the blockbuster comedy Hera Pheri was released. However, now, a dispute has cropped up between Hera Pheri producer Firoz Nadiadwala and director Priyadarshan. The iconic movie will always be remembered for its performances and standout comic timing as well as dialogues, which can still make anybody laugh out loud. Director of the movie, Priyadarshan, recently claimed that he is not keen on directing Hera Pheri’s second installment, as according to him, an iconic film like that, doesn’t need a sequel and it may as well spoil the original. This, however, did not go down well with Firoz Nadiadwala, who has blamed Priyadarshan for not directing Hera Pheri the way it should have been and therefore asking him to helm the second part was impossible. Firoz is shocked by the statement made by Priyadarshan as he did not approach him for any sequel due to his carelessness in handling Hera Pheri. According to Firoz, Priyadarshan’s handling of the movie was dull and had no comical dialogues. He even remained missing for the major part of the shoot. He added that it was him and the late Neeraj Vora who edited the dull part out and brought in the freshness it deserved. The producer also accused Priyadarshan of trying to brainwash the earlier cast of working in Phir Hera Pheri. Nadiadwala further said that he kept mum for 21 years as the film did great business and also due to his equation with Priyadarshan. But now that Priyadarshan did not care about their relationship, he too has decided to break his silence and put forth facts.
