Johnny Depp & Amber Heard have been in the news for all the wrong reasons. The couple split up a year after their marriage as Heard had accused Johnny Depp, her then-husband of physical abuse. They were caught in a long legal battle due to it. Recently, Depp had opened about Hollywood boycotting him because of this. The actor had sued Heard for a $50 million defamation case. He had also sued a British Tabloid who had labeled him a wife-beater; however, he lost the case. But of all the losses that he has been facing, there is some reason for him to cherish. The Fairfax County Chief Judge has rejected Heard’s plea to dismiss the case against her. The trial will begin next year. Although Depp managed to score a victory here, he lost the UK tabloid libel case in which the judge had stated there was substantial truth to the article that was published. It gave Amber’s lawyers a ray of hope, after which they filed a motion to dismiss the defamation case against her. However, their plea was rejected.
