The much-anticipated and promising Vicky Kaushal film Sardar Udham will release on Amazon Prime Video this October. The movie will be about an extraordinary man who dedicated his life to the freedom struggle of India. Produced by Ronnie Lahiri and Sheel Kumar, this Amazon original is helmed by ace filmmaker Shoojit Sircar. Prime Members in India and across 240 countries globally will witness this untold story from the comfort of their home. The story revolves around the journey of a gallant man who made sure that the world never forgets the brutality with which the citizens of his country were killed in the Jallianwala Bagh massacre in 1919. Vijay Subramaniam, from Amazon Prime Video, said that continuing with their rewarding partnership with Rising Sun Films, they are proud to present Sardar Udham, a story of courage and fearlessness. He added that the story of Udham Singh must be told to the world, and he is certain that the film will inspire viewers across the spectrum. According to producer Ronnie Lahiri, it took two decades of research to put forth an untold story of a Hero. Furthermore, he said that Vicky Kaushal has worked his heart out in it and that they are thrilled to share this epic with a worldwide audience through Amazon.
