In a recent announcement made by director Alaukik Desai, his movie Sita- The Incarnation will have Kareena Kapoor Khan play the role of Sita. The movie is written by KV Vijyendra Prasad, who has been known for his prolific work in Telugu and Hindi cinema. While many actresses were in contention for the role, including the likes of Alia Bhatt, both Prasad and Desai thought of Kareena to be an ideal fit. Their Ramayana is from Sita’s perspective and which is where it is different from the other two projects; Om Raut’s magnum opus Adipurush where Kriti Sanon will play the role of Sita with Prabhas as Lord Ram and Madhu Mantena’s Ramayana 3D which will have Deepika Padukone in the lead role along with Mahesh Babu as Lord Ram and Hrithik Roshan as Ravana. It will be interesting to see how the release plan of all these 3 epic movies is chalked out. With such big names being part of these humongous projects, only time will tell who justified the roles of these monumental figures better.
