Akshay Kumar has been in the news recently due to the release of Bell Bottom that marked the reopening of the theatres after the second COVID wave. While the film is doing better by the day on the box office, we hear that the superstar has already locked his next film with Mudassar Aziz titled 2XL. Akshay will share screen space with Sonakshi in this comedy flick. As per a source, Mudassar Aziz has been pretty busy as due to the COVID lockdown he got to work on multiple scripts, out of which he has finalized one and therefore intends to start work on it soon. The source adds that the film in question is 2XL and will be bankrolled by Ashwin Varde. Talking about the film, the source confirms that Akshay will play a rather unconventional role because he will be seen as an obese character which will be similar to what Eddie Murphy played in Nutty Professor. International makeup and prosthetic artist will be roped in for the film to give Akshay’s obese portrayal an edge. The makers are looking forward to commencing the shoot in March 2022. As of now, no official announcement has been made on the film, but it will happen anytime soon.
