Zee Studios has come on board with Colour Yellow Productions and Cape of Good Films for Raksha Bandhan. The movie that was announced last year on the occasion of Raksha Bandhan will revolve around the brother-sister bond. It is in the pre-production stage and is helmed by Aanand L Rai, and has Akshay Kumar in the lead.
Akshay has already worked with the production biggie in Rustom, Kesari and Good Newwz. In a statement, Akshay said that Raksha Bandhan is a special film for everyone involved as very seldom such pure and simple movies are made. The actor also added that he has always shared a good association with the entire team at Zee Studios, and he hopes to take the relationship a notch higher with this movie. Speaking on the subject, Shariq Patel, CBO, Zee Studios said that they are pleased to collaborate with Akshay once again as his discipline and charisma bring unmatchable energy to the sets and with Aanand L Rai directing the movie, they are confident that it will be loved by all.
