John Abraham is all set to elevate the action genre with his next production- Attack. The film has been postponed multiple times due to COVID-19, but now will hit the screens on the Republic Day weekend in 2022.
The movie also has Ratna Pathak Shah, Prakash Raj, Jacqueline Fernandez, and Rakul Preet Singh in lead roles. There are plans to make Attack a big action film franchise. It is also learnt that John Abraham will play a robotic character in the movie. The actor is going to essay a role of a mercenary soldier who has superhuman abilities in the movie, set against the backdrop of a hostage crisis. The character he is playing is believed to be on the lines of G.I. Joe and Deadpool.
Attack will have high-octane action sequences choreographed by Ryan Sturz, who has been associated with Captain Marvel. The story revolves around a fictional attack on the Parliament unfolding a hostage crisis. Abraham, who leads an attack team, is deployed for a rescue mission. The film will mark the directorial debut of Lakshya Raj Anand, who has assisted Kabir Khan in Ek Tha Tiger and Siddharth Anand in Bang Bang.
Attack will be produced by John Abraham and Kyta Productions. As far as other projects are concerned, John will next be seen in Satyameva Jayate 2 on November 25. He is also working with Mohit Suri in Ek Villain Returns and YRF’s Pathan.
