With the announcement of Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani, Takht, the long-awaited flick is a thing of the past. The two actors from Takht, Ranveer and Alia, will now be seen in this new Karan Johar directorial. One of Karan Johar’s friends confirms that Takht does not make any sense in the present context. It was supposed to be a collaboration between Dharma Productions and Fox Star, but with the latter not being a part anymore, and its replacement Disney+Hotstar re-examining its relationship with Dharma, the movie was no longer getting the Fox-Star or Disney+Hotstar alliance. If this wasn’t enough, the movie was based on controversial Moghul history. Furthermore, with financial issues, Karan Johar finally decided to shelve Takht and put his energies on the light-hearted romantic flick, Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani.
