Shilpa Shetty Kundra & Raj Kundra have found themselves in a legal soup, yet again. Controversies seem to catch them thick and fast these days. Now, a Mumbai-based businessman has lodged a cheating case against them and other people for allegedly duping him for a sum of Rs. 1.51 crores.

A person by the name of Nitin Barai has filed an FIR against the couple at the Bandra Police Station, where it is mentioned that in 2014, the director of SFL Fitness Co., Kaashif Khan, along with Shilpa Shetty, her husband Raj Kundra, and others had asked him to invest Rs. 1.51 crores into a business venture to earn profit. As per the complaint, it is alleged that SFL Fitness Company had agreed to assist Nitin Barai in providing him with a franchise to open a gym and a spa in Pune’s Hadapsar and Koregaon area.

However, this never materialised, and when the complainant demanded back his investment, he was allegedly threatened. Based on the complaint filed by him, the police have booked Shilpa Shetty as well as Raj Kundra and others under various sections of the IPC, and the investigation has already begun.

Shilpa, however, has denied the allegations completely. The actress took to her Twitter and elaborated that the venture in question is run by Kaashif Khan and that they are not aware of any of his transactions. Kaashif had taken the naming rights of SFL Fitness to open gyms across the country, and all the deals were struck by him directly. According to Shilpa, the company was closed in 2014, and all the business transactions are handled entirely by him.
