Three more Indian films have made its presence felt at the Cannes this year. Susi Ganesan’s Shortcut Romeo, a film about a con man,  Debasish Bhattacharjee’s Oass, a film based on child trafficking and Kamasutra 3D that has Sherlyn Chopra in the lead!

Earlier, The Lunchbox and Monsoon Shootout were warmly received by the audience specially the former which garnered critical acclaim for its sensitive storyline. The other Bollywood fare to mark Indian Cinema’s 100 years – Bombay Talkies failed to garner some decent respect despite the film having a stellar casts and four prominent directors to boasts of.

Anurag Kashya’s Ugly that was screened under the Parallel Director’s Fortnight didn’t cut a deal with its audience who found the film too complex and hard to follow.

However, the good part is that The Lunchbox directed by Ritesh Batra and starring Irrfan Khan and Nawazuddin Siddiqui is being considered a strong contender for the prestigious Camera d’Or prize.

And the usual suspects who created fashion faux pas had to be jury member Vidya Balan and L’Oreal ambassador Aishwarya Rai with their sheer choice of attire. But luckily for Aishwarya, she more than made up for her lack of fashion insights with a gown she wore at  another event at the festival.

Short films jury member Nandita Das despite sticking to a simple Indian attire of Salwaar Kameez still dazzled at the red carpet and showed to the world what Indianess is all about.

Actress Ameesha Patel and Puja Gupta too joined the list of Bollywood celebrities at the Cannes this year. Both were there to promote their film Shortcut Romeo.

Another actress to set the shutterbugs clicking at the red carpet was hottie Sherlyn Chopra who made the media go crazy as she walked down the aisle. Looking absolutely breathtaking in her offwhite and golden bordered lehenga choli, she had the media eating out of her hands literally. Sherlyn was at the festival to unveil the second trailer of her upcoming erotic film Kamasutra 3D.
