The vaccination drive is in its full swing across the country. While the citizens are queuing up for their turn, the Government is finding new ways to get everyone jabbed. One such innovative option that has come up is a drive-through process where one just has to sit in the car awaiting the turn and take the jab, without disembarking from the vehicle.
In a recent event, producer-actor Farhan Akhtar announced that he has taken the first dose of the vaccine and he opted for a drive-through center. He thanked the authorities for making the process seamless and asked people to be patient as the entire process is bound to take 2-3 hours, at least for now. He also advised everybody to carry a snack and a water bottle, if need be.
His intentions of making people aware of the process by spilling out his experience did not go well with a few netizens who questioned his eligibility to get the jab through this option. One troll, in particular, referred to the actor as a VIP brat who managed to find his way in a drive-in, which is only reserved for 60+ years, senior citizens. To this, the 47-year-old actor replied that the drive-in is for anyone above 45+ and that the troll should do something constructive for society with his time like losing his phone.
It is well to be noted that Farhan Akhtar has been doing his bit to fight the menace of COVID. He has recently pledged to donate 1000 food thaalis a day for families affected due to this disease in a city in Uttar Pradesh.
