It was indeed a busy Monday afternoon as too many things began cropping up with regard to the rescheduling of release dates. The biggest news of all was the further delay of Aamir Khan’s starrer Laal Singh Chaddha. Apparently, in a sudden development, this film, which was supposed to be released on April 14, now stands postponed to August 11, citing a delay in the post-production work. The film was earlier supposed to release alongside KGF but now will clash with Akshay Kumar’s Rakshabandhan, which is also releasing on the Independence Day weekend. It has seen a change in release dates five times. The film was earlier scheduled for December 2020 but was postponed to a year later in December 2021. It was then supposed to be released on Valentine’s Day 2022, but had to be skipped again for Baisakhi, and now we hear it has been further delayed to August. Notably, Prabhas’ starrer Adipirush, which was supposed to be released on Independence Day, is also delayed either to Dussehra or Diwali. This delay is seen as a goodwill gesture by T-Series’ Bhushan Kumar towards Aamir Khan since the two will be working together for Mogul post the release of Laal Singh Chaddha.
