James Michael Tyler or Gunther, as well all popularly knew him from the iconic sitcom, Friends, is no more. The actor had been suffering from stage 4 prostate cancer since 2018. His manager confirmed that Tyler, 59 breathed his last peacefully at his home on October 24. The statement of him passing away read that, if you would have met him once, you would have made a friend for life.
He is survived by his wife, Jennifer Carno. Recently in June this year, he had appeared on the Friends: The Reunion through a Zoom call. It was later revealed by him that he had been diagnosed with advanced prostate cancer which had spread to his bones. He added that he has been dealing with the diagnosis and the treatment for the last three years, and it’s stage 4, the last stage of cancer that he is talking about. He even said that eventually, it’s probably going to get him. Friends cast such as Jennifer Aniston, Matt Le Blanc, Courteney Cox, and Maggie Wheeler took to their social media profiles to share the grief and pay tribute to the fine actor and person.
