Anil Kapoor, who turned 65 yesterday, has joined Deepika Padukone and Hrithik Roshan starrer Fighter. Anil, who has given some stellar performances throughout his career, especially in movies like Parinda, Mashaal, Tezaab, Nayak, Virasat, Mr. India, and many more, was welcomed onboard Fighter by the film’s lead actors themselves.
While this will be Kapoor’s first film with Hrithik, it will be his second with Deepika Padukone. The two have already acted together in the 2013 film, Race 2. Hrithik took to his social media on Friday morning with his pic along with Anil Kapoor & director Siddharth Anand and wished the industry veteran by calling him a man who grows younger every year, both in spirit and health.
Hrithik went on to add that he had seen Kapoor’s legendary presence on the sets when he was a mere assistant to finally having the opportunity now of working with him for Fighter. To this, Anil replied with a tweet thanking Hrithik and that he was happy to be a part of the Fighter team and looked forward to finally working with Hrithik. Deepika, too, took to her Instagram, wishing Anil and welcoming him on board for Fighter. This Siddharth Anand directorial was announced in January this year. Besides this, Anil Kapoor has Jug Jugg Jeeyo lined up with Neetu Kapoor and Varun Dhawan.
