Jaya Bachchan will play a negative role in Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani. It is the first time in her illustrious acting career that she will be seen in a negative role. Jaya will play Ranveer Singh’s scheming and manipulative grandmother in the movie.
As per a source close to the movie, the legendary actress has not even played even a slightly grey character in any of her movies, so her first reaction when she was offered this evil character was Why Me!! It looks like Karan Johar, who will be donning the director’s hat after a long sabbatical, had to work hard to convince Jaya Bachchan on taking up the role.
Although she agreed, in the beginning, she had difficulties with how the devilish mind of her character worked but being the seasoned actress that Jaya is, she got a hang of the role in no time and as a matter of fact, had a blast playing the vamp.
