We are all aware that Karan Johar’s project Takht has taken a back seat as of now. The director is now working on a light-hearted romantic comedy for which he has already approached Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt, who have given their nod. The film was supposed to go on floors in May, but it could not due to the rise in Coronavirus cases and subsequent lockdown. The makers were wanting to go ahead with a quirky yet relatable title option, and that’s when they decided on Prem Kahani. It is a love story of two completely opposite characters. We might as well get to see the vintage Karan Johar touch in it whose movies were known to spread happiness. It has now been confirmed that the prep work for the movie has already begun with Karan and his team locking the script and the dialogue draft. As per a source, the step from here on will be to get the entire crew vaccinated and kick off the first schedule. Being a romantic flick, there’s ample scope for good and tasteful music, the preparation for which has begun as well. Prem Kahani will be Karan Johar’s return to direction after Ae Dil Hai Mushkil, which was released four years back. While this Ranbir Kapoor, Anushka Sharma, and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan starrer was an intense romantic flick, Prem Kahani will fit into the bracket of a rom-com.
