The Supreme Court has refused to grant any respite to the makers and actors of the web series Tandav who had sought a stay order on FIR’s against them. The court while passing the order said that the freedom of speech is not absolute and one cannot play a character that hurts the sentiments of a community. The bench headed by Ashok Bhushan said that the petitioners must go to the High Courts to seek any quashing of the cases against them in this regard.
