MS Dhoni, the former Indian cricket team skipper, will soon be making his OTT debut with a sci-fi, mythological web series. Dhoni took to Facebook to reveal the first look through a video in which he is seen in an animated avatar and portrays an Aghori who is up against an army of demons. Atharva: The Origin will be backed by Dhoni Entertainment, launched in 2019 by MS Dhoni and his wife Sakshi. The documentary, “Roar of the Lion,” based on Dhoni’s IPL franchise, Chennai Super Kings, happened to be its first production. Atharva: The Origin is all about the journey of a mysterious Aghori based on the adaptation of a yet-to-be published novel. In an earlier interview, Sakshi Dhoni revealed that the storyline of the webseries revolves around a mysterious aghori captured in a high-tech facility. She even added that web series is a better format for them because it allows them to adapt to all aspects of the story with greater precision than feature films. Notably, MSD is called Alpha of the Dhoni Entertainment and Sakshi-Alpha 1, given Mahi’s love for the army.
