Akshay Kumar-Katrina Kaif starrer Sooryavanshi is one of the most anticipated movies we have all been hearing a lot about. It has had multiple dates of release in the last year, but all of them have deferred due to situations arising from the pandemic. The last time we heard of the release date, it was slated to be on April 30. But for obvious reasons, this date too could not materialize. That’s the final thing we heard with regards to the release date of this Rohit Shetty directorial. That said, the makers have ensured that something or the other keeps cropping up about the movie. Both Ajay Devgn and Ranveer Singh are going to be a part of it, and their roles are much more than just a cameo is what we got to hear the last time. There have been also rumors that the movie might release on August 15. Well, Shibasish Sarkar, CEO, Reliance Entertainment, has cleared the air on that. He says that in the last 18 months, he is supposed to have released Sooryavanshi at least ten times. Sarkar adds that Rohit Shetty is currently out of India shooting for Khatron Ke Khiladi, and once when he is back, they will sit down together to discuss the release date. If we were to go by this statement, the fate of the movie is still undecided. The Government’s stance on opening theatres across the country is still unclear, and even if there is some relief given, it will be a task to get the audience back to the theatres. The makers have hence adopted a wait and watch policy, at least for now.
