A few surprises and Oscars 2021 Nominations have taken the Internet by storm. The announcement was aired live on the Twitter handle of The Academy by Priyanka Chopra Jonas and husband Nick Jonas. While Mank led the nomination in 10 categories, movies such as Nomadland, The Trial of Chicago 7, Promising Young Woman, & Judas and The Black Messiah received multiple nominations. Late Chadwick Boseman also made it through to the nomination in the best actor category for his performance in Ma Rainey’s Black Bottom. The actor who lost his battle to cancer last year had won the Golden Globe for the Best Actor earlier this month. There were a few snubs too with Jodie Foster, who won the Best Supporting Actress at The Golden Globes wasn’t nominated in the Oscar category. Instead, Maria Bakalova, the actress from Borat Subsequent Moviefilm made it to the cut. Priyanka Chopra couldn’t contain her excitement as she announced the nomination of her movie The White Tiger in the Best Adapted Screenplay category. The Former Miss World is the Actress & Executive Producer of this film. The Oscar ceremony will be held on April 25, two months later than its original schedule due to the pandemic.
