Ranveer Singh will star in the Hindi remake of Southern blockbuster Anniyan. The actor has collaborated with Director Shankar for the movie and officially made an announcement on his social media handle. Ranveer said that he is proud to be announcing the collaboration with a pioneering visionary of Indian cinema, Shankar, powered by the veteran film producer Dr. Jayantilal Gada. Shankar, meanwhile, wrote that at this moment, no one can be happier than him, bringing back the larger than life cinematic experience with Ranveer in the adaptation of the cult movie Anniyan. The director added that for Anniyan to be made in Hindi, it needed a maverick, and no one justifies it better than Ranveer, a one-in-a-generation actor who can immortalize a character through his stellar performance.
