Prerna V Arora made a mark for herself by producing movies like Rustom, Toilet Ek Prem Katha, Pad Man, and Pari. Within the first two years of her career, she was already associated with big names in the industry. However, things turned south for her when she was in the news for all the wrong reasons. Unpaid vendors and lack of maintaining financial transparency were some of the many allegations which were leveled upon her. Producer, Vashu Bhagnani even registered a case against Prerna for a loss of a huge sum alleging that he was pulled into financing Kedarnath and Pad Man on the promise that he would get the rights to release the films, but Prerna had done similar deals with others as well. She was arrested in December 2018 and had to spend a significant amount of time in prison. Prerna, upon her release, announced her two projects, one of which was Rosie: The Saffron Chapter that had Vivek Oberoi in it. But owing to mismanagement of funds, Oberoi decided to quit the project. As per a source, the film went on floors in December 2020, and it was assumed that the shoot will be over within 15-20 days, however, due to mismanagement of finances, the stakeholders got constant shocks as certain allocated budgets were overshot by manifolds and there was never any transparency maintained. Accusations of money not spent wisely and a recce costing Rs. 3 lacs brought to the fore the unprofessionalism that became rampant during the film’s production. From non-payment to vendors to crew members getting just one meal a day to a constant name change of producers from the film’s poster, there has been a lot of mess already while making the film.
