Ever since Heeramandi was announced by Sanjay Leela Bhansali, it has been in the news. A few days back, it came to light that the ace director has joined hands with OTT giant Netflix to develop this venture. The series promises to be a typical Sanjay Leela Bhansali flick that has larger-than-life sets and characters, and of course great musical numbers. It’s now said that Netflix will pay a whopping Rs. 35 crores for the first season to Bhansali. As per a source, Heeramandi will not be just a series but a magnum opus on the digital platform, which will have all the elements that Sanjay Leela Bhansali is synonymous with. The introductory season will be a collection of seven episodes, with SLB helming the first episode and thereafter supervising the other six.
