Quite a strange thing took place with Union Minister Smriti Irani, who was supposed to make a guest appearance on The Kapil Sharma Show. The actress turned politician who rose to power due to her work and commitment to excellence has made her writing debut with a book called Lal Salaam for whose promotion she was bound to appear in Kapil’s show.
Although when she reached the sets, she was stopped by the security guard because she did not travel with any security. The fact that she is a union minister who arrived on the sets without her security personnel led to the entire confusion. Smriti did try to make the guard understand that she was supposed to appear on the show as a guest and that she is a union minister, but he did not believe her. The guard claimed that such big ministers don’t travel alone and have the Police force and security people around.
Smriti waited for half an hour trying to convince the guard but then decided to leave as she had a flight for Delhi to catch. Upon learning about the incident, the first thing Kapil did was slam the guard after which, he apologised to Smriti Irani for the ordeal she had to go through.
